5th Grade - Shoebox Project - Due April 16th

Assignment – You are to create a three-dimensional model o f a scene from the Underground Railroad, the Civil War, or Reconstruction. This model will fit inside a shoebox. You will also handwrite a short paragraph on an index card. This will describe the scene you create.

Model

- Must be three-dimensional

- Look like a specific scene

- No anachronisms (things that weren’t invented yet)

Suggested Topics – You may NOT create a generic battle. You much choose a specific battle or ship or event. You may choose a topic not on this list, but let me know.

Grading – I will not grade on artistic ability, but I should be able to tell get an idea of what exactly you built.
