We have since clarified the order of succession (only after the death of JFK), but Tyler's time in office was not without little controversy. His own party even kicked him out, causing Tyler to name his home "Sherwood Forest" as he felt like the noble Robin Hood, forced to live a life of political exile.

Until then, President Buchanan was perhaps the least successful lame-duck president ever. What if he was tweeting the whole time?
